Pair of hand-painted stoneware mugs by Howell, featuring a whimsical motif of white rabbits and carrots against a dark cobalt blue ground. Each mug stands on a bulbous pedestal base decorated with additional carrot and star details. The interiors feature a single carrot at the bottom. Both pieces are signed and dated 'Howell 87 ©' on the underside. Crazing is present throughout the glaze on both mugs. Height: 5.5".
