A hand-thrown earthenware lidded jar featuring a sgraffito-carved design of sea turtles. The exterior is finished with a dark green and black banded slip, which has been carved away to reveal the natural reddish-brown clay body beneath. The jar includes a matching fitted lid with a rounded finial. Unmarked. Measures approx. 7x3".
