Maruhon Ware lidded trinket box made in Japan. Ceramic construction featuring relief-molded cherubs and scrollwork with burgundy and cream majolica-style glaze. Base is stamped "Maruhon Ware K Made in Japan" with Japanese characters. Shows overall crazing typical of age and minor wear to the unglazed foot rim.
