Rectangular trinket box featuring bone inlay panels on a wooden frame. The lid is decorated with a scrimshaw-style engraving of a sperm whale, bordered by decorative corner flourishes and the date 1793. The interior and underside are lined with green felt. Brass hinges and a decorative latch. Measures approx. 6.5 x 4.2".
