Etched Brass and Steel Cavalry Saber with Scabbard

Cavalry saber featuring a curved steel blade with etched foliate and scrollwork motifs. The hilt is constructed of brass with a three-bar guard and a pommel shaped like a bird's head. Includes a wood and brass scabbard partially covered in blue velvet fabric. Shows oxidation on the blade, wear to the brass finish, and significant loss to the velvet covering on the scabbard. Unmarked.
