Boyd Glass Elephant Figurine, 1980

Pressed glass elephant figurine in dark amberina or black amethyst glass, appearing black but showing deep red translucency at the extremities. Features a raised trunk and is mounted on an oval base. Marked on the base with the date 1980 and the Boyd Glass 'B in a diamond' maker's mark. Measures 3.5x5". Condition: shows a small chip on the top surface of the base between the legs.
